Last month we launched a competition to name the two enormous cranes that arrived at the Bayside site to support the next stage of construction. The original names of the cranes ‘TC1 Jaso J160 saddle-jib and his big brother TC2 Jaso J160 saddle-jib’ were a bit of a mouthful so we thought that we would ask our followers to come up with suitable names for the impressive structures with the winner having their chosen names together with their own displayed on the hoardings of the development.
We are delighted to announce that the winner of our competition is Pamela Skelton from Broadwater who suggested the names Peter and Pan as a homage to the old Peter Pans playground which used to be positioned adjacent to the Bayside site before it was demolished to make way for the new Splashpoint swimming pool complex in 2010.
We were delighted when Pamela popped into our offices this week to meet us and she told us that she used to take her children to the playground when they were little so it held great memories for her. She was also delighted to receive some wine and chocolates presented to her by our Head of New Homes Max Harbron as it was her birthday on Monday!
Pamela was accompanied by a friend whose daughter has reserved one of the Bayside apartments and lives locally to the site and has enjoyed watching the astounding progress of the development over the last year.
We are delighted that Peter and Pan have now been christened and look forward to the official unveiling of the names on site.
If you would like to find out more about the development, properties or the lifestyle that Bayside has to offer, feel free to contact Max Harbron, Head of New Homes on 01903 213 281 or email bayside@michaeljones.co.uk.
